As a Southern Baptist Church, we are committed to both home and foreign mission work. Our missions organizations meet to learn about and become involved in missions. A Family Night Missions Program is held on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00. PM. Mission programs are provided for adult, youth, and children. Baptist Men meet from time to time to plan local projects, men's day breakfast and worship, and mission projects associated with the North Carolina Baptist Men. Calvary groups have helped with flood relief in eastern North Carolina, participated in three Adult Mission trips in the mountains and provided relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina in Gulfport, Mississippi. The WMU continues to be an active part of the mission program at Calvary. Mission Trips and Projects are promoted during the year. The Youth participate in World Changers in the summer and do work projects for senior adults during the year. The Adults have participated in Missions in the Mountains in the summer and have helped in flood relief in eastern North Carolina. A different mission action project is promoted by the WMU each month and they also lead in trips to local nursing homes. Several of our members have done mission work abroad through Ukraine Challenge. Our church also sponsors a Food Closet that distributes food to needy persons in the community.
